Additional Info: Tracks Reviews
You can't blame them for trying. (2 stars) Their voices frighten me in parts of this album. But songs that are pretty good are Second Hand People, Glass House, I Am The World, and Big Chance. The rest are pretty dull. | | | | More Rehashed Slop! (1 stars) Poor quality. Buy "Birth of Brilliance" or "Brilliant From Birth" Aren't those Brilliant titles??? | | | | You Can Always Recognize The Bee Gees Unique Style. (3 stars) I find it hard to write a bad review about the Bee Gees, because I have always been a fan of their music, and the type of songs they write. This cd has the upbeat and enjoyable Spicks and Specks, the song, they made famous as their first #1 hit in Australia. In my opinion this is a little more repetitious than most of their cd's/albums. It's vintage Bee Gees, but the quality of songwriting isn't up to their usual level. It sounds to me like they decided to go in the studio, put together a few fun songs, and put it out for their fans. I really have difficulty seeing anything outstanding other than the fact that this is music when they were younger, and this release was a small preview of the amazing music that followed. Their harmony is unique, always, and it's an enjoyable sound, yet the Bee Gees have written some of the best music ever, and I don't see that here. | | | |
